If that sketch had been done by an ex sportsman it could have been funny but IMO it doesn't work when you have a stereotype of fat beer swilling lad culture taking the mickey out of successful sportsmen.
Put the same scenario in Australia, with Matty Johns doing a mickey take out of Ricky Ponting, Darren Lockyer, Mark Webber, Lleyton Hewitt and co and it would have been hilarious.
