Just thought Hampshire’s goal kicking was a bit off towards the end of the year and just got me thinking about other goal kickers we may have, and whether it will come up in the recruitment process.

He was off a bit but to be honest his hit rate is normally better than most.
I guess the question is, are we replacing him at 7?
If say Sam Williams comes in and Hampshire is not guaranteed a place anymore then we need a permanent replacement at goal kicker. If he plays I'm happy to go with him though we do need a backup. I felt a lot more comfortable with Brough and Hampshire in the team as we were covered with two top kickers.

Gigot, all depends on whether he will be in the starting 13 next season.

Chester said after the Salford game that Miller would prefer a number 7 who can organise the team, which would suggest that it is not going to be Hampshire.

Batch, Gigot and Jowitt can all kick. I don’t think any of them are guaranteed starters though

Hampshire missed a few towards the end of the year but is usually pretty reliable, 2018 he had a very high success rate.
