Rather than completely dismiss the Bulls out of hand the IP gave them extra time to come up with documentation supporting a case that deserved consideration. The Bulls returned with little more than they had arrived with at the first attempt and the case was considered but it took little time for the IP to turn down the Bulls appeal.



it seems that the RFL are now trying to save the Bulls blushes after Green made such a loud noise about the strength of the case only to be sent packing after being told they'd wasted everyones time and money.

If they withhold the information then Green carries on to the High Court. And you think that scenario is saving blushes? Wow.

So, in the absence of any information or transparency but in the presence of hearsay & 2nd hand gossip, here's what I think happened.



The Bulls were taken aback at how narrow the parameters were that the independent tribunal had been told by the RFL to hear the appeal.



The tribunal were operating on A (administration happened) - leading to B (6 points deducted)

So the tribunal said - right, prove A was force majeure.



The Bulls said we can't. But we can prove that C,D,E & F, which all led to A happening were force majeure.



The panel said, "sorry, the RFL won't let us independently consider C,D,E &F. So have a nice day. You'll have to take it to court to get C,D,E & F looked at. But that'll give the RFL time to shred documents & delete the email trail. So you're stuffed either way"

I'm glad you have revealed that it was in fact turend down, because those pesky liars at the RFL, aided and abetted by the press, have been saying that in fact the appeal was NOT turned down, it wasn't even considered. Until Mavis's revelations, we had all assumed that when the reports said:

Against the wishes of the Chairmen of the clubs. Who are now, if not supportive (HKR & Salford) ,are at least neutral to the Bulls Court case going ahead.



Thereby affecting a change of leadership at the RFL, without getting their hands dirty.

As no one knows what happened, I don't know if what you are saying is broadly a correct guess (or even insider info), but am I right in thinking, and may be one of the problems, that Marc Green had a part in C or D (or maybe E or F), before he took ownership?



On a general point, aren't all administrations force majeure, basically things happened that were beyond the control of the owners; e.g., HMRC changing tack, image rights policy refined, not as many fans, etc. Businesses go bust because things happen that they can't control.



I suppose the one thing about all of this is that it is hard to properly judge until we look at it in hindsight. If it turns out that the Bulls were misled or whatever by the RFL, and generally messed you around, I suppose hindsight will judge you harshly treated. If it turns out that they didn't, then Marc Green's approach will just come across as empty gestures. The worrying thing maybe is that his desperation to succeed might mask his real intentions come relegation; i.e., bale out.

Having been at the "Pit head" like lots of supporters who have taken more of an interest in how things have unfolded over these last two + years. I can say that there are many unanswered questions in how the RFL have reached their many conclusions that has mostly created more damage to the "Bulls".

This one is probably the last straw that broke the camels back, and hopefully we may begin to get to the truth of the matter.



Rest assured MG wouldn't go this far if he had felt that this judgement he faced via this so called Independent Sporting sanctions panel, was totally without any prejudice for whatever reason.



Remember that they (RFL) will not release any report due to sensitive information?



As far as all Bulls supporters are likely to think, we cannot get any more insensitive than being relegated at the end of the season.

Just a thought, but has anyone considered the possibility that the club may have asked for the judgement not to be made public ? After all, they will have received a copy and could easily put it into the public domain if they wished to do so.

I don't think its about the 6 points anymore.



Consider this;



Nigel Wood has nowhere near the qualities and acumen of his predecesor Richard Lewis.



He simply waited for the better man to leave and took the job - no process involved.



When someone like this gains power, in order to retain it and look good, you must employ people who are even worse at the job than he is.



I think this is what has happened and those now in control are not upto the job.



This ensures when he returns from his stint at the International Level of administration - he will "look good".



The RFL has quickly gone from an organisation that despite some shortcomings - had the overall good of the game at heart - to one I have absolutely no faith in whatsoever.



It may be I am wrong and the RFL are actually doing a wonderful job?



All current owners/chairmen of SL clubs may also think they do a wonderful job too?



Halifax fans may bear testament to what Nigel Wood is capable of - I have read some interesting posts in the past.



Its vital his empire is dismantled quickly and a quality, professional and respected team manage Rugby League.



I have banged on about this for ages - but still people think its about the points - which is pointless

People keep saying that Green will want his money back. I may be wrong here but wasn't the loan from the company he owns. Won't these companies have insurance against people not paying it back. Might his company already have claimed it back - so he may not need to chase it from the Bulls. If so, he didn't lose anything and possibly won the bid for the Bulls because of it - effectively getting the Bulls for next to nothing? So taking over the Bulls may not be about getting money out of them.
