We can probably thank phil clarke for his non stop complaining about it on sky commentary forcing action. At last theyve moved to stop it.

I just hope that the clubs will be given guidance on how the new rules will be applied otherwise I fear we'll see a few whistlethons over the coming weeks.

Excellent news ,& if the "hot weather" is affecting the effectiveness of some teams then they need to go back to a higher number of permitted substitutions too.
