Leeds have one of the strongest sides I have seen for some time, to the extent that they have even been able to discard BJB. They ooze class in the backs, and in 14 games have only conceded 132 points. Wigan have lost a lot of top players but Wayne has drilled his young team to become a super fit set of robots. When they play they run themselves into the ground, sprinting of the defensive line, and putting half the team into every tackle. They look like a column of soldier ants overpowering a larger mammal. Yes, I agree both of them will lose the odd match, but barring a bad run of injuries or them meeting each other, I think both trophies are between these two teams.



We need to recruit (the problem is from where), because we need a nucleus of top quality players to build a team around, and bring on the younger kids. The most I am hoping for / expecting this year is a Wembly visit and 3-4 key signings before the start of next season.

They do Winslade. I was convinced at the beginning of the season that Leeds would sweep the board.

I didn't pay enough attention to the gamble of an ageing squad.

Warrington took it to them and we didn't deserve to get beat follow a terrible game the week before.



I'm not making them up, it's all there, the form line says we should beat Leeds and beat them fairly comfortably.

We have beaten a hapless Catalan, a penalty strewn St Helens that virtually gave us the game in the opening 30 mins and a very poor wakefield side.



And now we could go the season unbeaten... even though we got beat at Bradford 3 weeks ago... obviously we are the form team of the competition.



I for one am looking forward to us winning the grand final.

We must have played awful rugby for the first half of the season to trick other teams into thinking we were not good enough, the second half of the season will be the real Wire and we will steamroll all who come before us......

You can make excuses for every team we play but the bottom line is you can only beat what is in front of you.

if we had beaten Leeds, Wigan and Cas in the last 3 games, you could make a case for us being the form team in the competition.



However, we haven't beaten one of those sides yet.

Not at all. I will be very disappointed if we can't beat Leeds.

But every team other than Leeds Wigan and Castleford could argue have claims we ought to beat easily on current form and on us not losing forwards.

Sorry. Simply we don't have an excuse for not beating every other team above us on form other than Leeds Cas and pies.

And we ought to beat everyone else above us and below us.

So with your high expectations then for Friday you'll hopefully have your excuses ready should we lose!To be honest I'm asking myself why am I biting as your just not talking sensibly.

in the ideal world, yes we should... But we haven't been great this season.. why is why we have been losing to those teams.



Next season hopefully we will have a few more new faces and we will be up there again... i would like to think it could be this season, but im not realistically thinking we will be.

Def.Would still give you them odds if I was a bookie which due to my record at betting its a good job I'm not.Don't be silly enough and think they're going to play the crest of the fixtures with the same intensity as last night as that in all likely hood won't happen.At the end of the day we were more hungrier for the win than Leeds were as you can usually tell if Wire are up for it in the 1st 10 mins which was evident for all to see to see last night but i'd have waited until season is over before digging this thread up as it will prob come back and bite you where the sun don't shine.
