| Given this weekends successes for both Wigan an Warrington.
Congrarulations to both sides by the way.
It was very noticeable that a lot of key performances in both sides were those by British based players.
Is it a good time to reduce the overseas quota spots and focus more time, energy and resources in nurturing and maybe keeping our own players. Especially if the Salary Cap was increased a little.
To me this can only benefit our own game in the long run

| That will happen organically... wages, economy ... profile etc are all in favour of Australia currently. There is not enough money around to attract the top players from NRL or detract our players... who have adventurous spirits from playing in the NRL
We are planning a trip to the UK this year and the exchange rate massively favours the AUD .... uk clubs will need to pay way over the cost of living to attract Aussie players... it's no longer a 'pay day' for the Aussies

Just goes to show how the UK has fallen, the last time I went to Australia the exchange rate was around $3.60 to £1, it was a few years ago though.

More than 10 years I'd say. I've never known it so good. Here is a summary of the best pound to Aus $ exchange rate for the last 10 years..

| We've been invited to a wedding in Australia next year but I'm afraid for 6 of us it's not possible, maybe just me and the wife later. I wish I'd have gone with work when I had chance all them years ago

Back in the day, when I was a nipper, they were begging people to go over.
Think all it cost you was a tenner, my dad seriously toyed with the idea but alas, nothing came of it!

| My uncle did.
Moved over to Freemantle.
Not been over yet but would want to go East Coast really.
The other sport I follow with a passion is cricket and would love to go over when England play and go to the Boxing Day test

Hindsight is a marvellous thing, probably my only regret, it's got to be a better life than what UK as turned be.

| Yes it is a wonderful thing.
We watch that Homes Down Under and then wake up on a Monday for work looking at the grey skies.
I think on visa applications for living and woking out there there is an age limit of I think 45 so my chances are slim.
Having said that the lifestyle those ex pats have in the sun in Europe is great. I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years in Malta. Sitting in Bugibba square with a pint in 20 degrees heat on Christmas Eve or finishing work on a Friday meeting the family at a beachside restaurant where you can get a pizza and half caraff of wine for around €5.00.
Certainly considering going back on kids have finished education, but may look beyond Malta. Fuerteventura could be an education as well as a holiday later in the year

| I love the statement 'regret what you did in life, not what you didn't do!'
That's how we ended up here... and who knows ... there may be more adventures to be had... after all I'm not even 60 yet!
