Wake up, X-factor and American Idol is how the music business works now. Get over it.

The charts have always been full of sh/te. Nothing changes. All Simon Cowell is doing, is showing it up for what it is and making a bloody fortune out of it. I don’t watch the X Factor, as it just churns out wannabe clones of current pop stars, and panders to the teenage girl obsession with celebrity.



The charts will still churn out sh/te whether or not SC’s latest Prodigy is singing it. It doesn’t mean I have to listen to it. I’ll listen to what I regard as proper music which rarely, if ever, makes the charts.



I’ll buy the music I like, not out of protest against music I don’t like, but only because I like it.
