One of the questions on Eggheads tonight was "In which sport does the State of Origin occur". The choices were Rugby League, Cricket or Golf. The answer given by a member of a team from Wiltshire was Golf. When told it was Rugby League, he said "Oh yes, they play that in Australian.

He might have meant State of Origin was played in Australia rather than Rugby League.
Those quiz teams do know RL is played in this country.

Question on the chase couple of weeks ago, "where does the annual pie eating championships take place?"
He said, being a big rugby league fan I know wigan are known as the pie eaters.

These Wiltshire folk know nothing about rugby league!

I doubt their knowledge of RL in Australia is any worse than a wigan teams knowledge of rugby union in Australia

Do they not play origin in Australia?
