| Having watched every home game this year i have been hugely impressed with Matt Ryan (Wakey's man of stell IMHO), but i feel that he's not a 2nd rower or even a centre. Before the tirade begins let me finish, as a centre he is defensively sound but rarely threatens going forward. As a 2nd rower his work-rate is immense (bar injuries i think he's been a 80 minute player every game. I'm sure you lot will correct me if i'm wrong), but for me again he doesn't seem to have the impact he should have for a bloke who's 6 foot 5 (that's a guess) and around 16 stone (that's a guess as well) he just seems to go down to easy. I know it's easy for us lot to be a coach on the sidelines but for me he should be going through the opposition players defending him (usually the oppositions half-backs hiding in the defensive line)
I just feel that his ultitly value is huge but that has hindered him I was wondering where you lot would play him next year

| Everyone differs in opinion, but id say im watching a different player to you.
I think he looks threatening going forward more or less every time he gets the ball , especially when running out wide. Big Meters on the stats. Second on tackle busts.

| Has done everything possible asked of him this year and with a gammy shoulder.
An all knees and elbows player that is always hard to tackle.
Expect him to be even better in his second year.

| I'm pretty sure I've seen him busting tackles out wide and offloading the ball as well, unless my eyes have been deceiving me.
I think he's been fantastic this season, definitely a mile better than I thought he would be when he walked out at Salford on the opening day.

| I've seen him do all the things the OP says he hasn't done, so it's hard to comment.
